International Women's Day
As you know, today is the International Women's Day. This is a perfect occasion for me to tell you about my thoughts associated with this day...
From a couple of months, I started to refer myself as a trans woman. Before that, first, I used to "pretend" I'm a girl, at least online, then I've decided to make coming out and started to refer as a person who IRL is a guy who's gay or a girl in guy's body. However, when someday I realized I don't need to have any surgery, hormones and anything associated with transition done to refer myself according to gender I feel in my head, finally I could start to tell about myself in the right way... so yeah, I'm a trans woman!
Even if IRL I still have a male body, even if I still have a dick and balls between my legs, and even if I still have to feel my sexual pleasure like a guy, I have a right to refer myself as woman. Cis or trans, it should NOT matter!
You may think "If you eventually refer yourself as a trans girl, why IRL are you still officially a guy?". And now the saddest part of today's story begins... 🙁
My country, Poland, is the most homophobic and transphobic country in EU. If about Europe, worse situation is only in such a countries like Russia and Belarus. However, while I live in such a homophobic and transphobic country, at the same time I live around its capital, Warsaw which is one of the most if not the most tolerant city in my country when it comes to LGBT people. I feel so lucky becuase of that and gives me some light of hope in all this shit I just mentioned about. The president of my country dehumanizes LGBT people by calling them an "ideology". The president of my country's capital actually supports LGBT people and wants to protect them as he can. From the one hand, it shows how shitty situation is in my country for people like me but from the other hand, it shows not everything's lost yet.
I'm glad I can be myself here on FA, especially most of you are LGBT people. 😉
I wish, sooner or later I could celebrate Women's Day too...
