Post Suspension #2 - Uncle Yosheo???

Hamha!
About two months ago, my mom told me that my sister, Winry, was pregnant.
As you may expect, especially if you are familiar with my sister and her husband, Flynn Hoot, the likelihood of the two ever bringing a new life into this world seemed too farfetch’d to believe. The initial reason is that, ever since she and Flynn got married, the couple did not appreciate being asked if they would bring a cousin into this world for Peep to play with. My mother, Mrs. O’Ducky, really wanted to have more than Peep as a grandchild to unleash her grandma powers upon. However, as I had been told on multiple occasions, Winry’s visual disability, which is the same as mine despite being born three years after I was, had an additional issue of her being born without an iris. (When Peep was born, we had about a 4% chance of him entering The Big Wide World with Glaucoma. If he had, treatments for controlling Glaucoma had gotten to where he would have been able to live a normal life with only a fraction of the surgeries, medications, and sight loss I experienced since having been born in 1980.)
As of 2022, Glaucoma has become understood enough to all but eliminate the possibility of being born with such a degenerative, ocular disease. However, when I was last informed, being born without an iris was still at approximately 50%.
Winry & Flynn came to visit Peep for his 16th birthday back in mid-January. I promised my mom that I would not say anything about how she had informed me of a bun baking in my sister’s oven. This eventually did lead to Flynn sharing how my mom’s information was 100% legit!
The baby, which is a boy, will be referred to by me as ‘Little G’ until they settle on a name for the bundle of joy that is expected to be delivered sometime in July. Apparently, Winry’s pregnancy is high risk. Not much was shared as to what results in such above average risk of a miscarriage. But I do know that Winry will be turning 40 four days after my ‘15th Star Day’. (Age is relevant as successfully carrying a child to term without any major complications increases with age.).
What has gotten me down is how I will likely not be able to see my nephew in more ways than one. Winry still seems to disregard Lucca and, given the pregnancy is ‘High risk’, it is unlikely my sister will be fit to travel to where I live after their tentatively scheduled visit around Easter / April 9th.
Regardless, Lucca and I have been active in acquiring items to help ‘Little G’. Most may not know this, but my Cutie-Patootie has gotten a solid reputation within some local groups that focus on helping each other through the donation of items. Lucca has found things to give while also finding things to get that help us with the house, ‘Little G’, and members of community who may not be able to as easily acquire those things they may need to live an optimal life given their particular circumstances. Lucca has even earned the epic title of ‘The Giving Machine’ by one of the groups’ founders! Ya, Lovey!
We’ll keep you updated on ‘Little G’ and the “SCIENCE” that made him possible after being an apparent ‘Top Secret Project’ by Flynn & Winry for over the past five years.
Thanks for all of your support and, if you have the time to do so, please give our Patreon a look. I plan to use it to improve my overall mental health through it serving as a ‘Job’ until a miracle may happen to allow me to be seen for my abilities, educational background, and professional experience by an employer over continuously being denied, forced out, and silently discriminated against as a result of being 100% blind.

Winry is still not quite hardcore into how she is going to be bringing a new life into this world. I do understand how it 'is' a high-risk pregnancy and 'is' tricky giving how she does not have much eyesight left. However, I do hope that Owlbert, the fursona name developed by Lucca for 'Little G' returns my sister to times where there was no stick up either her, or Flynn's, proverbial patooties. :)

At some point, I shall have to commission someone for Owlbert. If I do, and save a bit more money once I do, I would love to get a frame for the picture to present to Winry & Flynn. The goal is to always have something around to show how 'Uncle Quack' cares while reminding the new family to never stop allowing their imaginations to thrive at an a time in life where, for most adults, things get just too serious.
I also hope that everything goes well with Little G. I'm sure you're going to find the way to help out. Best of lucks with that!
When Peep turned 16, I really did think to myself about how fast time does go by. I remember how he, at around the age of a month old, was more like a plushie I would carry around. Now he is working for a local franchisee of Dairy Queen, which specializes in soft-serve ice cream treats, while being just shy of a 'Straight A' / 'Perfect Marks' student in High School who, as of last week, possesses his 'Learner's Permit' to get his Driver's License! (Knowing Peep only needs to wear his glasses to drive a vehicle makes me so happy. I never had enough usable vision to even be considered for such a milestone in the life of an American Teenager.).

My sister having 'Little G', who we are now giving the fursona name of Owlbert, at the age of 40 is truly a big surprise. This is because Winry & Flynn constantly made everyone know they did not want to have children as a result of how, unlike myself, my sister was born without an iris in her eye. Apparently, as I was told by her and Flynn, they used SCIENCE! over the past 5 years to make Owlbert a reality.
This weekend, my sister and her husband are coming down for a short visit to where Lucca and I live. Being the fun-loving ducky that I am, I have worked with Lucca to get a few things for Owlbert that will be able to be around long enough for my nephew to know that his Uncle Yosh is a super fu fun guy. :)
Oh, the MLB season has by the way just started. It is nice because the number of games we can watch here is bigger every year. We can watch right now two daily games except some days like Saturdays, it is really good. Now with the new rules of stopwatches the 8th inning doesn't last 40 minutes. It is doing pretty nice in my opinion. I'm liking this season so much by the way. I'm still not sure which team I should follow up. Apparently Houston is still unstoppable. I was also wondering which team the people use to follow in your city / state Yosh.
Are there any players in the MLB from your country? Major League Baseball has always interested me in how it welcomes players from a wide variety of countries around the world. When I was watching on a far more regular basis, I was happily surprised to see the Japanese pitcher, Hideo Nomo, showing off his talent.

I live in a very competitive region for both the National and American Leagues. Fortunately, while I grew up, I was closest to Pittsburgh and followed 'The Pittsburgh Pirates' as much as I possibly could. It was also fun listening to the games on the radio with my grandparents. :)
Where I live is less than a 3 hour drive in a car to get to Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, and New York. You can guess that this can make some really difficult conversations if you are a fan of the 'Baltimore Orioles', 'Pittsburgh Pirates', 'Philadelphia Phillies', 'New York Yankees[/i]', or 'New York Mets'. Given the rivalry between the Yankees and 'Boston Red Sox also means you can hear a lot of opinions on who the best team in the MLB is.
I, myself, would love to see Pittsburgh become as recognized as it was in the early 1990s. Their big name players were Andy Van Slyke, Barry Bonds, and Bobby Bonila. However, Pittsburgh is far better known for its NHL Hockey, 'Penguins', and American Football, 'The Steelers'.

If you could attend a MLB game in person, which team would you like to see?
You're right that one of the best things of the MLB is how they're receiving players from all kinds of nations. Indeed, there are several baseball teams with more Dominican, Venezuelan and Cuban players than from the USA. I'm pretty sure there are some Colombian players playing right now on the MLB, but I'm not sure who are them. I remember that about three years ago there was a good pitcher who indeed was called for the All-Star game and threw a three up-three down inning. The most important Colombian player until now was probably Edgar Renteria when he played with the San Francisco Giants and made a three runs home-run in the series-winning game for San Francisco during World Series of 2013 if I remember well.
Sadly we barely have a baseball culture on my country, there is a really small league played basically in the Caribbean coast so far from where I am, and with just a few fanatics following them. We don't have a lot of baseball fields in our cities and it is really hard to find baseball equipment. It is a big shame because it is a really fun game. I guess I would be good playing at third base, I really don't think I would really be good at all on the outfield because I would lose the ball really easily.
And finally, answering your last question. I guess I would like to watch a game in Toronto. It sounds funny. I like the Blue Jays colors and logo so much. Their field is also a big challenging. I don't remember if they're playing at Canada again or not, the played the last years on Buffalo if I remember well because of the restrictions for traveling to other countries.
