I certainly hope that being reborn from ashes applies to laptops in addition to phoenixes. It turns out my RAM could be completely shot to Hell since my computer gives me a blue screen every time I try to boot up (including through Safe Mod). It looks like I'll have to do some data recovery and computer replacement.
I'll have pretty limited access to everything (chat clients, this website, pretty much anything internet related) for the time being. Updates to come whenever possible.
