after seeing this Video and what Guilliman said, it sounds like WH40k might go to the End times like Warhammer Fantasy. Chaos is on the rampage there is a new Hive Fleet and lion el'jonson has awakened we might be dealing with something big. heck, I think Ghazghkull Thraka the biggest Ork boss might make be appearance too since Yarrick died and it sounds like Angron killed him Ghazghkull going to want his head for taking Yarrick out first.
the galaxy going to have the biggest event that might change the 40k universe.

It's fine for settings to have their end. All good stories need a close. But killing 90% of the lore characters in a setting and blowing up the world/universe isn't a good resolution regardless of what the setting is.
this also sounds like something that happened decades ago in neopets with a war scenario where the players sympathized with the designated villains and the management had to throw shit together to not let the "bad guys" win despite them having legitimate grievances with the "good guys"

Additional note, I haven't kept up with Neopets stuff since I was like...8 or 9 lol. So I have no comment about the Neopets war thingy.
If 40k "ends" like WHF did and they pull the same bullshit of "everything's fucked because we say so despite the players trying their hardest to get a good ending" then I'd be mad if I was still invested in this.
Hope to see more of your ironwars stuff regardless
But that's the Doylist explanation.
The Watsonian one is that there's still way too much to potentially explore in the 40k universe for a potential End Times scenario to even be considered. Bear in mind that, following the End Times books and the death of WFB, a lot of people thought that the Gathering Storm books leading into 8th Ed 40k were going to be the same deal, and as it turned out the destruction of Cadia and the creation of the Cicatrix Maledictum was just another chapter in a never-ending saga of status quo.
