The Dystopian Nightmare of Applying/Hiring for a Job

99% of you know this horror in your bones already; applying for jobs and trying to use the right keywords so the AI screening software that the company is using will let your application actually reach the hiring manager's eyeballs. In this way, AI has actually been in circulation for well over a decade. This is not new, it's just fucking ubiquitous.
So along comes a company/service like Jobscan, (https://www.jobscan.co), which understands how these screening AIs think, and helps you fix up your resume to bypass the filter. Shameless shill for Jobscan, they're fucking great, it's just a nightmare that they are needed at all. It's an example of "This product is fantastic, but only because the dystopian hellscape we live in needs it."
Well, the dystopia is getting worse, and Hell is the earth we live in.
Jobscan just rolled out a Cover Letter Generator, using none other than ChatGPT AI.
This is just so fucking funny to us. Resumes and cover letters are such bullshit, only meant to screen people out. HR departments require them but are not interested in actually reading them. So they turn to AI to screen them.
Now, AI is being used to get past AI, to connect a human with a goddamn human.
This is what getting a job is like now:
Company: We need to hire for this position.
HR: We'll post the job opening all over the internet!
Everyone: Oh, look, a job.
HR: Oh gods so many applications, I don't have time to read these all.
Company: We'll buy this AI software to screen them all so only a couple get to you.
Everyone: AARGH WHY DO I NEVER HEAR BACK FROM ALL THESE JOBS I APPLY TO!
Jobscan: We've built this AI software that can help you get past AI screening software, so you can actually get an interview.
Everyone: Yay!
HR: Oh gods so many applications are getting through! I don't have time to read these all!
Company: If we require a cover letter, some people won't apply because they don't want to write one.

i put in like 70 applications to places all around me and only heard back from like 2...and one lied about their actual location. ended up having to work for Dollar General for a while because i walked in to the store and asked them about my application.

the first job would hire anyone with a pulse, since turnover rate DAILY was 20 people or so.
My second job I got mostly because of my impeccable attendance. They did not need skills they needed someone who would show up every day
5 years and I only took a total of 7 sick days.
I still really want to find a different job. I make only minimum so anything would pay more.
Use your time at your perfect-record job to research and study. If they just need your body, your mind can be occupied with professional development. Nab some certifications from online learning platforms.
I give until 2030 at the earliest and 2050 at the latest before most jobs basically have 'Humans may not apply' everywhere.
I would say that, at this point, we'll need to setup a UBI/'Share Our Wealth' program ASAP, but that will never happen in this political environment, especially since Russia is using the Right in general as pawns and unleashing the hell that is memetic weapons upon humanity.
Another sad reality is that technology determines practically everything, not the other way around...
