April 2023 and me not having an April Fools' joke

Another month gone by, and we're all still here. Time for another of my rambly journal entries where I look back at the previous month and how things went, and where I personally expect the coming month to go. Unfortunately I don't have an April Fools' joke to put here; no I'm not just saying that to lure you into a false sense of security and then hit you with the joke later. I really just don't have a clever joke to put in this. I do have something amusing in a kind of annoying way that's been going on to share, but it's not an April Fools' joke.
Anyway, so how'd this last month go for me? Well as I expected last month, I finished two stories. Unfortunately I am not in the process of another story yet, but I'll get to that later. First there was Sweet Benefits Part three, finishing off that series and my first foray into writing in second person. It has done quite well, once again repeating that pattern of having more favorites and more views than the previous entry in the same series, which still baffles me personally, but oh well. After that was the Sixth Old Wager, which has done about average for my stories. Even though the story that was my idea has done worse than the story that wasn't my idea, I'm not really disappointed; I knew the Sixth Old Wager was going to be a simpler entry in the series, and of course it's the sixth entry in a series, (twelfth, if we're counting the (Un)Fair Wager series as a whole,) so that it would still do 'okay' is perfectly fine by me. Besides, even if nobody liked my personal stories but me, I'd probably still be writing them anyway at this point, so I don't really worry about it.
So how do I expect this coming month to go? Well first I should explain the thing that's been going on. If you've noticed my main profile page UP NEXT section you may have noticed that it's been a week since I last uploaded and I still haven't started on the next story yet, which is longer than I usually take for my between-story breaks. It's a request slot, and the first person up was that person I've mentioned before who couldn't come up with a story idea; again, just like before, I don't hold it against them. I then moved on to the next person in line, who apparently doesn't actually know English and communicates with me in Polish which I have to translate... Yeah, if you're thinking that sounds familiar, you're not crazy. Though I cannot technically prove it, I'm about 99% certain this is the same Polish individual who back around January of 2022 got banned and made a bunch of alt accounts. As I mentioned in a couple of journals at the time, I have no idea what got them banned, and I have nothing against them personally. Since they have technically followed my personal request requirements otherwise, (and have been effectively forced out of my request list for over a year at this point,) I figured I would give them a chance. However, the back and forth has been slow on account of both the language barrier issue and that their ideas so far have been things I either won't write or I can tell I wouldn't have any fun writing, so I've been denying those ideas. Either we'll get it resolved soon, or I'll lose patience and boot them out of the line and move on to the next person in the queue; whichever the case, I should hopefully be back to working on writing by April 3rd or 4th.
If I can get started writing by then, then well, I hope to get two stories done by the end of the month. My next personal story slot is going to be the Seventh Old Wager of course, which might be a bit of a longer one, though probably not super long. My personal expectation is that I'll finish it either shortly before or shortly after the end of April, so either I'll have two stories uploaded in April, or just one but have the other close to ready to upload. That's my guess anyway, but I suppose we'll find out.
