Cool New Idea
Hey everyone! I was just watching some videos having to do with gouache painting and some character drawings coming to life. This got me thinking: What if there was a sort of paper that could be used to bring character sketches or finalized designs to life?
If you were to paint a background with the character or whatever is drawn, then that too would come to life, mainly featuring movement of let's say...clouds. Or sea foam at the beach. It can be anything! But the characters you draw on the paper can also enter the physical world, but retain their 2D appearance, albeit shaded. Also, if the character drawing is based on a video game or movie character, then the drawing replica will have the exact same memories, personality, mannerisms, etc. I thought gouache would be a suitable material for coloring a character, with either that or felt pen used for the outline. But let me know your thoughts on this idea, and hopefully I can get started on it! It'll be a little while before I can get my hands on some gouache paint, though.
