Update 8
General
I finally have a disability hearing date. My hearing is on May 8th. I've been told I don't need to bring anything because they already have access to all my medical records, so here's hoping that things go positively for me.
Also, because of the fact I had met the minimum weight loss requirement by my sleep test provider, (10% of what my weight was when I was first put on it, which I accomplished last month), I have been asked to do another at-home sleep study. The equipment for that is being mailed to me on May 12th. I have no idea why it's going to take them that long to send me the equipment, but I guess I just have to deal with the machine until then. Hopefully, if my weight loss shows there's an improvement in my sleep apnea, I'll be able to get off the machine.

Some progress is good progress in both your money and your weight loss. I'm sure something positive will come from the hearing and that it's good that they have access to your medical records (A pity that the SSI people apparently don't for some reason, even though they should). I'm sure this other study is to make sure that you don't need any equipment once your weight is gone down to a certain amount maybe? Still, it does sound positive.

The disability hearing IS for my SSI, silly. That's why I'm having the hearing in the first place. I'm hoping that this turns out positive for me and they'll see nothing has changed and that my disability is still there.

I thought this was in regards to getting you onto the state's disability program (separate from SSI) since your lawyer said that she can only help you with your SSI once you're on that program?
Nope, this is the hearing I've been waiting to get since I first made the appeal for my SSI. All that stuff meant was that the lawyer wasn't comfortable representing me. I didn't end up with a lawyer back when I got my SSI the first time, many years ago, so hopefully I get lucky again and come out of this with a win.

OK then. Still, things are moving forward and hopefully things will go in your favour. You do have the medical records to prove everything at least.
