That happens to me every time I use an iphone photo! I thought I was crazy this entire time. What I do is upload it to toyhouse then save that file. Tedious, I know

Experienced this before and have had few commissioners mad at me for that exact same reason.

Before uploading; try resize them and rotate the images you want to upload in image editor/drawing app of your choice - even if the image appear to be on the correct orientation when viewed as a thumbnail (yeah, weird - i know)

Chances are, the image that went sideways when uploaded would appear sideways also on the image editing app.

I did realize I hadn't edited w my watermarks, n that editing seemed to do the trick, so an edited file def makes a dif like ya say, thanks for the suggestion, def membering that from now on!
