Hello friends,

For those who might be concerned...I LIVE!!! I apologize for my constant silence here on FA. I actually have a backlog of submissions to make for commissions I've acquired. I just have trouble putting the energy into writing good descriptions to go with them, and I do want good descriptions on my pieces. I'm picky about that.

I want to thank everyone who has followed me over the years despite my lack of regular uploads or original material. You guys are great. I don't know what I did to make you stick around, but I appreciate it, anyway.

Life Updates:
I recently quit my job. Crazy, I know, but I did it anyway. For the last two years I've worked in an assisted living facility and....it turns out that big corporations running such places really want you to be in more than one place at a time. I tried. I really did, but I can't physically do that. My most recent position was as the Activities Director of my community and....yeah....they wanted, basically, two full activities schedules running simultaneously, one for each side of the building, and for me to take time to visit one-on-one with the people who stay in their rooms. All that is important, of course, and I support it all, but I can't do it all by myself and that's basically what was required. So I got out before the decided t fire me or something.

I am no looking for a job. Honestly hoping to get back into libraries again. I used to work in the local library and I think I left my heart there when they fired me. A job similar to that would be nice right now. I'm also considering some other options along with my job search.

Which leads me to the news.

Upcoming Events:
Some of you may remember that I previously considered taking on writing commissions. Given my current circumstances, it seems like a good opportunity to do so! So, I am working on my TOS at the moment. I think it's about ready. I'm planning to officially start taking commissions as of next week. Going to give myself just a couple days more prep time to make sure I've got myself in order. Keep your eyes open, though, and tell your friends! I'll start with just a few slots and see how it goes, then expand from there.

Unlikely as it is, I would love to try to make this my full time job. I'm sure I'm nowhere near where I'd need for that to be viable, but you have to start somewhere, right? No one ever got to be successful by just waiting for it to happen, and I have been complacent for long enough. Watch the journals and maybe my submissions because I will be opening things up next week, regardless of my personal job situation.
