To recap, lets explain how he "crosses over" to the spirit world, shall we?
First off, the audience isnt fully set, there's at least 5-6 plants in every performance. Secondly, a lot of this is just blind stupid chance. Let me prove it to you.

The most popular pet names in 2023 start with B, D, and L. Chances are great, you had a pet at some point of your life that began with the letter B. I actually did, Babbette the poodle, when i was a very little kid. :D So there you go, thats basically John Edwards. Pure entertainment and not to be taken seriously, yet fleeces people millions of dollars to watch him work.
