My family received sad news today. Our cat, Otis, had been sick for the last few days and unfortunately it's the worst possible outcome. He had a perforated bowel, peritonitis, and air and fluid in his abdomen, causing an infection. All of that combined with the discovery of diabetes and a heart murmur made surgery a dicey prospect, so we made the incredibly hard decision to put him down. That cat has been a beloved part of our family for the last 10 years and he will always be in our hearts

Sorry to hear about your cat. My sister's dog died 3 years ago. The poor thing ran out of the house in the morning, then we found out someone had run over him just before my sister and her family were about to put up fliers. She was heartbroken and so was I. Even though I got annoyed by the dog sometimes, I still loved him.
