If you would like to put them up without doubling images in the gallery, maybe you could slip them into scraps and put links to the textless versions in the descriptions of the originals?

Personally, I like it when people do that, it gives you a better look at the original art. :)

I agree with you. Scraps are a great way to store alternatives for art or writings without overloading your main gallery.
