Life update 2 - THANK YOU
2 years ago
Part 1
q___q I've received an overwhelming amount of support from you, both emotional and financial. Thank you so much. I can't put into words how much it means to me and how lucky I am, I'm not good with words and no matter how I phrase it, it still feels too shallow, but really, thank you from the bottom of my heart. ;;
I now have enough money for food and my PC transportation, and I'm going to order it sometime around May 15th. I'll keep you updated, I'm super excited to uhh reunite?? with my PC??? after a year of not having it with me. :D I've had a PC in my life since I was 9 years old; my ex-partner, who is still very dear to me, gave me my very first own PC as a gift 5 years ago, and my father helped me assemble and choose parts for it, so in a sense, it really is more than just a machine to me. I know the bills will go up, but so will my productivity. Even just having it with me here would bring me a sense of stability and a feeling of home. It's almost like, to me, it has a soul and it's just this big sentient mecha pet that has its own history and memories attached to it. If that makes sense.
Thanks to your support, I was also able to buy an original Apple adapter for my iPad, and now I can work more than just a couple of hours a day!! This means more art and quicker turnaround time while I wait for my PC to arrive. ;w;
I'm going to keep working on commissions, I keep updating my public Trello list frequently. While working on big pieces, I can still take small commissions like headshots or icons. I think I'm going to open headshots for unlimited slots until I feel like I've taken too many. If you're interested, here's a link: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/51822446/
While I get paid in euros, I still need rubles for online appointments with my psychiatrist, so I'm going to accept payments through Boosty too. (I can't convert euros that I already have on my hands to rubles due to sanctions) If you want to order through Boosty, please note me!
As for the comic project, I barely have time for it, and it saddens me. I've joined a Discord server where members post updates about their webcomics. We have bi-weekly check-ins, and it has already helped me to get at least something done each week, so it's not stagnant but not yet at a speed I'd like it to be either. I've been pretty much in survival mode for a year now, and commissions have been my priority. It's going to be like that for some more time. I'm getting a residence permit within 1-2 months, so it's definitely going to get at least partially easier within the next few months.
So for the next couple of months, my girlfriend and I are just going to draw, work, try not to get a burnout, save up money, possibly move to a new flat in November, quite possibly with our friends as roommates so the rent is cheaper. That's the plan for now.
Thank you for reading! If you want, you can share how your life has been lately in the comments

Perhaps finding a local doctor is an option though?
