Let's nip this in the bud :D

We're in an age where things are changing, and accusations get flung around like pies in the hands of the Three Stooges. I was waiting for a comment like this:

So let's address it :D
Yeah, I've not drawn in months. Prior to that I hadn't done much in nearly a year. Why? A lot's been happening, both good, and bad. Also, I was no longer happy with my style. I was stuck in a rut that was never changing as self-taught methods weren't allowing me to improve. Wanna know why my art looked the way it did? When I moved to digital, it was not only being drawn with the mouse on my laptop, but I WASN'T using layers for different lines or color shades. I WASN'T using actual shading techniques either. I used the burn and dodge tool, which can be akin to using Comic Sans on your professional design project.
You know what's an amazing help? Not only getting a tablet, not only having other art friends teach you things, but learning new shading, drawing and coloring techniques and spending a year in a cave (or your home) applying and actually learning things. I wanted to evolve. But nowadays, you gotta deal with this Twitter mentality of call-outs without proof.
"Their art looks different OMG ITS FAKE!!!"
Yeah, only thing I can't take credit for half the time are the backgrounds. I find stock images I like and alter them a lot since I work full time. Anyone ever look back at an artists' (mine especially) first works? Ever notice how it usually, like, I dunno, improves or changes as they learn new things? Yeah, it happens?
Other than this, I don't care to defend myself any further. I do art for fun in my free time FOR free. If you like it? Cool! If not, totally your right. But don't shout false claims when you're bored. I don't have time or desire to battle anyone over that :D

FA+

I think this person was just too hasty with his comment.
With that said, I think just letting things lie and carrying on with your art is the wisest course. You'll never please everyone, and it's madness to try.
With artwork though, it's usually very easy to tell. There's always this uncanny, lifeless feeling to the style, not to mention the bad anatomy that is very present.
Good thing I only draw for fun lol
And that's kind of what I was trying to say in my long-winded way. Your art looks like your art, just with clear improvements over the years. If you were using AI, it would look like shit.
Just for fun or no, though, I think it's admirable that you went to so much trouble to study and learn new ways to improve your art. You've got a lot to be proud of with it, I think.
I'm glad my style is still present though :D
You figured it out! D:
Either that the AI-paranoia seems to be infecting people
still well
I do like your new style
I mean even in my gallery where I'm extremely slow to update anything my first year's pics vs my modern pics changed a lot.
Still wished I got art from you at some point in the past. X3 lol
But on the few instances I have tried, my mood and desire to do the picture just dwindles. Apparently my mind doesn't like being told what to do lol
I hope youโre taking the time to enjoy life and not let people being dumb bother you. :3
Yeah, who knows what people are thinking, or if they're 'thinking' on autopilot.
I feel like I'm trying to present pictures of ghosts to skeptics lol
My folder of "free to use" backgrounds currently has 529 files in it lol
