Quick rant

For my job as a social worker I'm required to have my Id badge on me, visible at all times. The only thing I'm allowed to do (depending on client preference) is turn my badge backwards.

I've lost count of how many times people have ASSUMED I work at the clothing store/grocery store/etc that I'm accompanying a client to.

I get so much random attitude and Karen's coming up to me, not even realizing I don't work there until I get the second to inform them.

When I explain that I am a case manager, they still don't understand. It's quite frustrating.

I'd laugh my ass off if someone complained to management about me, an employee at a place I don't even work LOL.

And they're still short with me when they understand at last that no I am not working here but yes I am on the job. My job. Lol.

It's not that serious but as someone with social anxiety and fear of confrontations (and extreme allergic reaction to Karen's), it does get overwhelming.
