Scarlet and Violet had an enjoyable story, although Victory Road was absolutely boring as high hell. I still liked Nemona as a rival though.

Story and Nemona were really fun. And of course our boy Larry.

The performance though was... questionable at times.

I only had one big performance issue and that's if you try to catch a Pokemon by the bridge before the first little town area.

and sword?

It performed well, but the story was just not good. I often felt like I was taking the backseat in the story, even though I was the player character.

There were so many instances of some big thing happening off screen, only for a character like Leon to say "No, you go do the gym thing. I'LL handle the problem!"

the battles for me got annoying, cheating ai
sperm mons hogging the dens

To be fair, there are some parts of Tears that run pretty bad.

Thankfully I've yet you encounter them!

The game feels like Dark Souls to me.
Only unfair.
And I suck at Dark Souls.
I often shout "What the hell killed me!?"
Then I realize I'm going after bosses with "Rock on stick" and "Rusty shield" and 16 hp.

To be fair to GameFreak, they only spend one year each making these pokemon games. But to be less fair, they aren't being forced by The Pokemon Company to put them out so quickly like many seem to believe- they are personally choosing this rapid release cycle.

But anyway it shows what six years can get you vs one year :)

zelda is much fun
and yeah getting one shotted if you dont have good gear and full health sucks. however get some 3x tough foods in you and turn those 8±heart damage attacks down to a quarter or half. get yourself some stuff from the new dragon for regen per hit landed.
