I don't gotta go fast =w="

★ When comes to working on commissions or rewards for patreons, I try to get working on them and finishing as fast as possible for a couple reasons, some of them selfish, like at the sooner I get them done, the sooner I get back on enjoying myself and focus on my own projects... And also since I don't really like working on them, I can say that the sooner I'm done with them, the sooner I can forget about it.
But another reason for why I try to finish them as fast as possible it's due some observations I make seeing costumers talking about buying commissions and how common it is for them either wait for months, sometimes years for them to get whatever they've asked for... And sometimes screw it, the artist just vanishes. So with these observations, seeing that this is too common, I've decided that the best approach was to work as fast as possible so people can keep coming.
In case you're thinking: "But I thought you didn't like taking commissions and rewards, why don't you just stop offering them?", that's a topic for another journal, but for now I can say:
Commissions: I now occasionally open them when there is something I want to buy soon that I can't just pay with what I earn with patreon, it would take too long.
Rewards: I offer drawings because for now I didn't had enough content of my own to give a reason for people to support me, but now things are different and I'm in a more comfortable position, having plenty of room to do my own thing and enough room to give some rewards from time to time.
Now those are the reasons, the point of this journal is that now I don't think this idea of working as fast as I can to finish rewards and commissions ain't working anymore. Recently I've managed to finish a bunch of rewards and comms in a short space of time, good thing one hand like I've said, I all comms and most rewards done so I can forget about them and put more focus on what I enjoy, but on the other hand, I've got myself exausted, the last rewards are going slower than I usually do, couldn't start my comic I wanted to start sketching this week, like in a game when you overheat your gun or exaust your stamina bar.
"So why don't you take some time to rest and have some fun? I'm pretty sure they can wait" For real tho, I will. I thought for a while that I couldn't afford to do it more often because if I did slowed down, could be either commissions or projects of mine that people are waiting, if I stopped a little or slowed down, everyone would just abandon me, or at least that's what I thought. Maybe most people are really more patient than I thought they were, took a while for it to start to sink in. If from what I see, most costumers are willing to wait for months, sometimes years to get a single drawing done, unfortunatelly in some cases they get nothing, people can wait a couple weeks for a comic with me.
I think I'll take a break until Monday, which I'll start working on a comic over on Patreon and during the weekend I'll work on the rewards which depending on it, I can finish it during that weekend, or chip away at them in case of comics, getting the piece done in 2 to 4 weekends.

You definetly should slow down if you are getting stressed, people can wait, your art is amazing I'm sure they won't mind.
