I imagine your inbox is looking the same as mine does now. Confusion, despair and rage over a totally pointless policy update that is going to obliterate the Pokemon fandom on this site overnight when it goes into effect. Well, that's my reading of the events anyway. I'm not one to panic over Furaffinity scandals most of the time, but I think I'm done with FA if they go forward with this change.
I won't commit to anything specific just yet, because there's still time for the mods to realize they're retarded and retract the policy. If they do that, I'll just pretend this never happened and move on. But if July 1st comes and the policy is still in play, then I plan to move to Inkbunny as my main site. Unlike FA, Twitter and almost everywhere else, I actually know the guy who runs IB and I trust him a great deal. I have his contact information and can just ask him directly if I ever have a question about IB policies. So that's a 10 out of 10 on transparency as far as I'm concerned.
The reason I haven't been on IB in the past, and why it's kind of a pain in the ass, is that they don't allow uploading erotic human content. If you've been following me here, you'll know that's pretty much my whole deal. 90% of what I do involves humans in some capacity and so violates IB's upload policy. There is a solution though! - Unlike Furaffinity's moderation team, who are always looking for excuses to ban you, Inkbunny will only take action against content that is literally hosted on their servers. If you link to another host, it's completely fine. So you actually can submit human art and stories there, as long as it is hosted elsewhere and linked to in the post description. I'll just have to figure out what that host would be. It'll have to be something very stable to ensure the links will remain valid for many years.
This is a very unfortunate development, but I'm gonna pull through it somehow. I would be sad to lose this profile, since I've had it for 16 years. But what can you do, eh? Nothing to it but to press on and take the piss out of those that would presume to control you. Reject their reality and substitute your own.
