I agree that people are over reacting when they got the news, hell I had to reread the policy few times to make sure it's what it says and so far it is something of a good thing as it tackles the problem that not even Pixiv are willing to enforce or stop as that site has... lots and lots of that disgusting content that I can barely stomach.

Read the bottom part of the announcement. They straight up adress it. Short characters, pokemon etc are not affected if you dont portray them as a child. I think its fairly easy to differenciate between a shortstack and a kid.

I remember helping to take down one guy who posted pedo shit a lot and that was before they closed this "1000 year old loli vampire" loophole.

The only major problem I can think of is people troll-reporting a drawing of a shortstack acting cute and calling it a 'loli' which will result in an auto-ban with no investigation nor repeal.
It keeps happening. TT.TT Troll-reports are everywhere and they always hurt people.

Sry to break the bubble but some artists already revealed their responses to the tickets. A LOT artwork (which characters are obviously adults) will dissapear and no, FA already dealt with almost all minor related stuff over a decade ago, you cant even draw sfw of that without risk as many already got banned for nonsexual drawing of cubs which is a problem that been happening for years. The tickets revealed that many will be forced to erase a lot of their artwork or forced to change their style completely. The "Clarifications" don't solve the current problem and neither something to "feel good about" and the mods responses to the tickets are the best proof of that.

The best way for people to know if they are in problems because of the new policy is by making a ticket to get a response so get time to act before its too late and get taken by surprise by the mods.

I've come to report that after staff reviewed some of my Tyranid art, it was deemed a violation of the rule change and I was required to delete it. It was pretty clearly not cub but I guess the size difference or the small ripper swarmers did it? They weren't really specific.

This is why people screeched about it.
