Just felt like I needed to write something.
Been doing more painting. Just landscapes mostly though. Nothing furry really. I've been okay with the results. Seem to be improving at least.
Wanted to get out there and date. Been quite lonely as of late. Women feel like another species though, I swear. Damned if I can figure a good place to meet them either. Would prefer another furry, as I doubt anyone outside the fandom would understand the appeal to me. Local meets are a bit of a sausage fest, haha. I'd rather meet women online tbh, as I can talk more honestly and be myself.
Been doing self improvement stuff. Working out more. Lifting, riding my bike. I tell ya though, last hike through one of the local parks was infuriating. The amount they cut down there. Never going back. Place is completely destroyed.
Trying to expand my business more. Doing 5 lawns now, which is nothing compared to the big companies. But hey, for me its a start! Going to try and get more, as I can definitely do more. Its a very pleasing job. Seeing how nice it looks after you're done. Great exercise too. Also do gardening for people. Getting pretty fast at weeding.
As far as the world goes things feel pretty bleak, not gonna lie. Had to raise my prices this year because inflation and food prices keep going up. Economic mismanagement and money printing, and putting new rules in place that make everything more expensive. Try not to pay too much attention tbh. That stuff will drive you crazy if you do, haha. But hard not to when it impacts you.

Dating atm is pretty much wrecked since Internet has supplanted all the traditional dating spots and methods with arguably the worst system one could go about (the ''dating market''). Your best bet is to make a profile on a dating app and be completely honest with what your jazz is or going to furry and geek cons and seeing what comes up.

At 66, I'm still technically single and will probably stay that way. That said, I've been seeing the same woman for almost ten years and while much has changed, it's all good. As for meeting women, I have dated many I met at work, but 'office' relationships haven't worked well. The previous woman I met at a company picnic; the facility had some extra capacity and offered my company a discount if they could let a group of nurses from the local hospital sit in. One girl was amazing and both a manga/anime fan and a furry. We went out for a couple years but she had to resolve some mental health issues.
My current girlfriend I literally met in the building cafeteria; she was a nurse in another building. She's also a Japanalia fan and a furry. She had met my previous GF a few years before, after the breakup; long story short they are now roommates.

Don't give up. You never know when a chance encounter may turn into something.
