Have any of you guys been to a furmeet/furry convention?

I’ve been to a local convention twice in the past two years. It’s a bit more anime themed if anything but a handful of furries show up as well. I’m not gonna say which con for personal reasons, but it was nice wearing my partial out in public! I was worried that I’d get harassed while walking past the people who weren’t really involved in the convention, but everyone was pretty chill 😯 I want to go to an actual furry convention some day, but none are really close in my area. There are a few furmeets but since those are a bit more low-key I’d probably have to bring a friend or two 🤔 and probably give my parents a “heads up” for additional safety :P Anyways, have you guys been to any furry conventions/fur meets? How did it go?

Never been to one, but if I do, I doubt I'd actually do anything there. Probably just lounge around and vibe.

Went to a meet up for the first time recently actually! It was nice to meet local furs, but I'm not too good at socializing so I was a bit awkward lol. Looking forward to going to more in the future even if I don't have a suit :3

That sounds nice! Glad you enjoyed it! What did you guys do at the meet up? It seems like a lot of furries host meets at either a local park, their house (if it’s a close bunch), or the bowling alley :v and yea definitely don’t worry about the suit thing :3

It was based around a plant swap! But mostly people were making lil beaded bracelets because someone brought a TON of beads. This particular group focuses on accessibility so a lot of them are based around low-cost/free activities or events that are already happening :3

I went to Anthrocon (Pennsylvania, USA ) three years in a row and have attended Midwest Furfest (Local con Rosoemont, IL, USA) a few times but I haven't gone to a local furmeet yet, but I'd like to! There are one or two that are semi-local. I highly recommend going to an actual furry convention if you can! It's honestly a lot of fun and I miss being more able to do so.
