Itaku.ee -- and the future

Hello again l3
So, as I'm sure you've seen in the wake of recent events, Itaku has exploded in popularity, so I followed suit and made one too -- it's kind of like Twitter, but not-shit. So, that's yet another place I will continue to post stuff from now on -- I spent all evening adding a bunch of stuff starting from the beginning of this year, so it wouldn't be completely empty, and I like it quite a lot -- hopefully, it remains well-used by the community!

So, in a couple days the FA-ocalypse will begin, so with that in mind, I do intend to remove some submissions tomorrow -- the ones that clearly violate their new rules, exactly as worded. I intend to leave up anything I think is fair game, and if those things result in me getting canned, well -- at least you know where to find me, hahah. I hope it won't come to that, but if it's all up to a mod's subjective opinion, you just never know. Some might consider Zullie or my toony-styled bois to be "child like", and in that case, well, bye I guess. l3 So, I encourage you to save anything you might want if you think it's at risk, if you care. I of course backed everything up first, and in fact even saved every page of my gallery as individual HTML files, so I can remember them exactly as they were. After all, the memories mean more to me than anything else. The gallery count is just a number, but those ancient cringe comments and replies I made 15 years ago?? No one will take those from me!! l3
To that end, though most people have made their decisions and acted upon them already, I feel like sharing two archival tools I used to make the process I just described way easier:
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/.....ihhobgphecbkon -- FurAffinity Extender, an addon that does a few things, but chiefly, for my intents and purposes, adds a button to one-click download the uncompressed version of any submission on FA. Just makes it real fast if you have a lot to save and don't wanna dick around. l3
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/.....fadehl/related -- Single HTML Downloader, a thing that puts a right-click menu button/extension icon to download the current webpage as an HTML file -- but unlike "saving as HTML", it saves it as just one single file -- not an HTML with a folder of assets for each page. Just one click, done, saved a single file, move on to the next. Made saving all my gallery pages as-is extremely fast and easy, and now I have them for my own archival purposes forever. They look just like the live webpage, with all assets and comments intact. l3
So yeah, that's my cool radical update of the day~ I will still use FA in a more limited respect (providing someone's opinion of what I drew doesn't get me destroyed). But, if that happens, well there's like 6 other places to find me now, so. I'll see you all here, there, and everywhere else!!
I suppose I should just end by using this opportunity to say, since I think about it a lot but rarely make journals -- how much I appreciate this community, and the people who follow me and enjoy all the silly horny indulgent things I've made over the years. Nearly every meaningful relationship I have in my life today was, in some way, formed via this website, or through connections related to it. Looking through my gallery as I individually saved every page was a walk down memory lane that spanned the course of 17 years. I met countless amazing and important people here, pretty much everyone I consider the most important to me who aren't my real-life family and friends (and even then, the friends came about as a result of furry stuff, too!!). Drawing furry art has grown into my number one passion, and given me some real purpose to my life. I am blessed that there is an audience who really cares about what I make, especially when I see people with enormous, astronomical skill way above me post here and get almost no engagement -- I'm not sure what I've got that they don't, but I'm glad I have it, hahah. l3 Drawing this stuff is a ton of fun, but it's made way more so because of all of the people who have engaged with it over the years. An inspiring and driving force, and it means the whole world to me <3
Okay, see you later. Time for bed, I stayed up till after midnight uploading stuff to Itaku and writing this journal, oops. l3

>I do intend to remove some submissions tomorrow
That's for the teen preg thing.
I just have some things I will remove that are clearly a bit murky, like NSFW with Zigzagoon, for instance l3 Things of that sort!!
https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/10566939/
But even then, still no replacement for FA. It's really weird when you mentioned it last time, but you're absolutely right: FA still is the most "active" / "interactive" community around. I don't count Twitter as that's an entirely different branch of tools.
(wish you gave a little more notice than a single day though. see you on the other side)
you're still gonna be uploading to weasyl as well I assume?
