Regarding my disabled Discord account
Continuation of this: https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/10571333/
After gathering some information, I concluded the reason why my account was disabled is because of the new username format they are implementing.
They have been prompting users to change to the new format slowly, and if they refuse to change it after being prompted to, it's considered a violation and the account is disabled.
But... why!??
I understand users must change it manually because those who have symbols or Unicode characters could not be changed automatically as it would not be compatible with the alphanumeric-only format, and because they have to be unique and stuff.
But was it so difficult to just block the user from chatting temporally until they update their username format instead of just disabling their accounts if they miss the prompt!??
I missed the prompt myself, and since then I coincidentally didn't enter the profile settings to see there was a "required action" there.
They have on their own website a QnA section regarding where to find the username change if you missed the prompt, which means that THEY KNOW that users MAY miss the prompt; then why the heck do you punish them by missing it as they were violating the rules intentionally!?
I'm so mad right now...
I understand why they are applying the username change, but the way they are doing it is so damn poor.
*Sigh*... okay.
JM-Luxro#9441 is my new account now... until I can get a new chance to change it to the new format, which will take a while now because this account is more recent than my original one.

When they disable accounts due to "violations of rules" they don't restore it.
I tried to contact them about it and the reply was just an automated bot saying basically "You did something wrong... but we won't tell you what you did wrong... and we will not give you your account back. F* you"
Last year my Discord was hacked, and I barely stalked them on Twitter and they never got back to me.
This time was the same.
While I've changed my username and had to put in what I wanted, my roommate had his auto-assigned... Which implies that they HAVE a system in place to manage this, but we both had different experiences on that for some reason or another.
Admittedly, his name was less 'unique' than mine, but it did auto-assign him a suitable name.
Theoretically, this means that if you miss the prompt or deny it, that it shouldn't be a problem. It just assigns you the one that it suggests.
I'm not saying anything by this, either - I'm just really curious because of the different experiences that both my roommate and I had, and then seeing this happen to you? It just boggles the mind!
Some friends told me that they know people who got their accounts disabled after refusing to change, and I have even seen other people say it as well on some servers.
But some other people say that it's not true, and now you said that it assigns one automatically?
I don't know anymore TwT
I leaned to believe it since people told me it happened to them just as it happened to me after I missed it, so it seems too much of a pattern to be a coincidence...
Or maybe their system is just broken and can't handle everyone the same way, which wouldn't surprise me -._-.

It just won't let me log in saying the account is disabled, and nothing else at all
