Not quite as exciting as the title wants you to believe, but the information on my laptop seems to be salvageable. I just need to download some of the more important data on to a couple of flash drives.
My laptop is a husk of its former self, but at least nothing happened to the data itself since I had a couple of essays typed out on it before the incident. My new laptop should be coming in around the 24th.
