Holy Moly! Commissions!? At this time of year? at THIS time of day, localized in THIS very website?
Yes.
Commissions will last from Now until August 22nd, thats right, TWO months of potential commissioning! This is mostly to help pay for summer classes, which are rather expensive.
You will pay for at least HALF of your expected amount up front as non-refundable insurance, and as I get to the halfway point, I’ll ask for the rest, if you don’t pay, you don’t get the rest of your commission. (For the short story, I expect full pay up front)
I have the right to refuse a request, before you commission me, please look at the thing I will do and won’t do at the bottom of this page. If you're interested but unsure if I'll write about it, note me and I'll discuss if I'm comfortable writing a scenario in it. If I feel uncomfortable about writing something, I'll tell you to pick a new scenario. If you don't I'll refund what you have paid if you already have and allow someone to take your position.
If you ask for any major changes to the story, I will request that you pay for them, at a rate of $.50 per 100 words. If it's only a couple of sentences, changed information or one paragraph, don't worry about it!
When you do pay for a commission, I will notify you at about the halfpoint of the progress, unless you specifically ask. It will take up to a month to finish, though usually it takes me 2 weeks or so, depending on my schedule.
SHORT STORY FOR PICTURE/REF SHEET: $5 (Includes about 500 words based on one of your pictures or ref sheets, and with informed consent and approval, another person's picture. One per customer)
FOR THE FIRST 1000 WORDS: $10 (Minimum price for proper story commissions)
PER 500 WORDS: $8 (Maximum of 3000 words total, or $42)
Tips are always appreciated, though not a requirement!
