NaNo Novel: Here Falls The Thunder
Honestly, this shit is fucking bananas!
Why can't I say that I have absolutely NO desire, or even give reasonable explainations why I have no desire, to see that damn movie, without some fucker telling me I'm being an idiot, or that I'm not a "man".
As if I have to validate myself by seeing some stupid, overpriced movie! Maybe I just don't like the idea of the movie? Maybe it's the kind of action film that I don't give a fuck about? Hell, why am I giving reasons in the first place?! I don't have to explain myself to any of you!
Honestly, the last movie I've gone to see is Silent Hill. Movies are expensive for me nowadays, especially since I have other expenses I would rather cover, like my video games for my new PS3, or my DS. It's a 2 hour movie, which, given how much I'd have to pay, would be money better spent on something that'll last me several days.
I'll wait and get in on Netflix. I don't care if I don't get the "movie experience". I mean hell, it's based on a graphic novel that nobody's heard of until this movie. And with only two exceptions, almost ALL movies-based-on-books SUCK ASS.
So there's REALLY no incentive for me to see it. And I'm getting really sick of artists drawing their 300 pictures, or of my fur friends quoting that damn movie! *flails*
And don't EVEN tell me I suck, or somehow I'm stupid for not seeing what you think is an "awesome" movie. I don't have your taste in movies, or your desire to spend 10+ dollars in a theater for some instant gratification. I'll wait till they do some "director's cut" or an "unrated version", and I'll MAYBE see it then.

BTW, what are the two exceptions of book-to-movies? LotR and Narnia? Those were done quite well, IMO, though I never read Narnia.
I thought it was great though, but everyone is entitled to opinion.

I have read the graphic novel and I hated how they adapted it considering they added shit that doesn't make any sense and took out things that were really important. Besides, if I wanted to see a bunch of naked guys for two hours I'd watch some fucking porn so I could at least get some pleasure out of it.
I was just really miffed, feeling better now.
