June 17 Local Author Event - Little Post-Event Report
2 years ago
General
Just wanted to take a minute to say that the event I mentioned in my last journal from a little over two months ago has come and gone. It was an event at a local library that was for authors from around the area to be able to meet and mingle with each other and potential readers.
I've posted some photos from the event on here and elsewhere online. You can check them out on FA through my profile or by checking them out in this folder.
It was a pretty small and simple event, but a nice experience nonetheless, and hopefully it might help get the word about Daughters of the East, and The Saga of Fidonhaal in general, at least a little more "out there." :)
That all said, I'd also like to list off the other authors that I got to meet at the event. As much as we might dig stuff with animal-people on here, there's still of course all the rest that's on offer out there!
Heather Bernard
Author of Twig Finds Her Way, a children's book telling of a fairy trying to get back to the girl she watches over with the help of a mole and science.
...
J.B. Dane
Author of an Urban Fantasy series titled The Raven Series.
*This author also has three other pen-names: Beth Daniels, Beth Henderson, and Nied Darnell. I'm not going into great depths for all of them, but I would like to point out, for the sake of "anthro/anthro-adjacent" interest, that one of the works under Beth Henderson is a series titled Whichur-Wolfe Detection, which is a paranormal-comedy-mystery series featuring a witch and a werewolf as they investigate stuff! X3
...
Ron Elliot
Author of several historical books, including Inside the Beverly Hills Supper Club Fire and Assassination at the State House: The Murder of Kentucky "Governor" William Goebel.
...
Katie Filiatreau
A physical therapist and author of The Healing Path: A 30-Day Devotional to Help You Cross the Bridge from Hurting to Healing.
...
Larry Ray Hardin
A retired DEA agent who has authored, amongst other books, Path of the Devil, Camino del Diablo: Based on True Events of a DEA Agent and Two Private Investigators.
...
Ned Johnson
Author of Dropping Out: The Trespasser Killer Series.
...
Gail Kamer
Author of numerous books, including Immigrant from the Stars, and many of her books seem to have both English and Spanish versions.
...
Birgit Stubblefield
Author of a romance/drama collection titled Oak Creek, which includes entries Scars, Chances, and Secrets.
I hope any of you coming across this might consider checking out my writing, but I also hope some of you might give some of these folks a chance, too!
I suppose that's it for now. Thank you for your time, and I reckon I'll catch you all around later!
Regards,
Lucas/Wulfe
