Went to a county fair destruction derby
Bunnyburrow might be based on rural Pennsylvania, but it could just as so0n be based on rural Indiana. We're pretty much Hufflepuff Hobbits. Anyway, I went to a local fair (and yes, it was a veritable smorGASbord) with some friends and we watched a destruction derby. And yes, I heard music from Destruction Derby 2 in my head while watching it.

One of the cars had Bowser's logo on it and there was a guy in the audience wearing a "Team Mario" t-shirt. There was also a car with Sonic painted on it (white on blue reverse colors), and the driver's name was stenciled on the side in the style of the Sega logo. The best car was one with a custom muffler that stuck straight up from the engine. No hood. Didn't overheat.
The vehicle with Bowser's logo on it also had the word "Roo" painted on the back. Probably a nickname. That immediately made me think of an adorkable anthro weight gain scenario with a kangaroo or wallaby - turned "blubberroo" or "wallablob" - fattened up into a helpless bloated blubber blob by a giggling horde of cuddle-mongers (various species, whatever you care to imagine) and put on display for all to see. But what if wasn't just a town or county fair or whatnot. What if it was an entire PLANET whose culture was based on that town/county fair motif with a carnival atmosphere from which there's no escape?!

I also saw a jumbo-size dragonfly. The sound of the engines seemed to affect its flight because it bounced in the air whenever an engine revved. A couple of summers ago-go, I was at the same festivus, and I saw a similar jumbo-size dragonfly while listening to a local band do some cover songs. The heavy beats affected its flight and it bounced in the air along with the beat!
