Happy Pride All
Hello All...... if you're enjoying any Pride activities this year, just wanted to say: stay safe and well..... and enjoy the festivities if you're going to them.
Pride for me this year will be more of a personal thing; a more intimate time (at home), and a bit more reflective within myself (and a few of the close people I care about).
In any case, whatever you're doing this year..... if you're going to the March, or volunteering for the cause, or helping out someone in the community in need, or..... even just watching the parade at home like we are, here's some sage advice I learned a long time ago, for whatever it may be worth to you:
"Keep your head above your shoulders, stay proud of who you are...... and above all else: never apologize to anyone for who you are, what you believe in, and what you need to do for yourself in this world".
You and you alone, (along with the people you care about) know what's best for your situation...... and no one else out there has a right to judge it in any way. Stay firm in your belief systems and your values and you'll go far with whatever you want to accomplish.
Some of us learned these lessons in life the hard way (ah-hem)..... and in turn, are more than happy to share in the wisdom learned, with whoever wants to listen. ☺
Safeguard your civil rights and defend them whenever necessary..... as there's many others out there in the community that are a bit misguided in life, and would like to take them away if they could.
Stay well.
