That's how I feel about AI in general. The only ways I enjoy its use is from people who take pride in its imperfections, to generate weird pictures like "a goose running for president" or "a swarm of bees being interviewed on a talk show", or make SpongeBob characters say things they never would in an actual episode.

And when someone tries to use it as a genuine alternative to talent, we can laugh even harder, because AI only knows what things look like, not what they are.

Not to worry. ChatGTP may edit well (been tested), but actual write? Yeah, my dog could write better.

Now for computer things, like programming help, it's invaluable.

Communism is just not the bugaboo that so many people see it as. For instance, Neither the Soviet Union or China were ever truly communist. It was only ever a goal, which was never achieved. They've always been both capitalist and socialist, as have we and basically every other country in the world. Communism has never really been our enemy.

The US has it's pluses and minuses, both of which are significant. We do ourselves a disservice by our policies of American exceptionalism. We're not better than anyone else. Never say "Always". There's just no factual history to base such an assertion on. This is something we have to work on day by day if we wish it to be true.

They don't have to be liars. Their understanding of the issue is based on what they know and what they learned.

Stalin was basically an authoritarian dictator, which is essentially a right wing thing. He was never a real communist. Stalin was always opposed by the real leftists, as are all dictators. Nothing the Soviet Union ever did made them communists. It was an early goal that they obviously never achieved.

I think you need to learn more about what communism actually is. You should study what socialism is and what makes it distinct from communism as well. They're not the same thing. A huge number of people don't understand this, especially here in the US, largely due to cold war propaganda and it's lasting effects. The facts behind this prove what I've said if you do the research.

I've done the research. I'm not doing it again and I understand what you're saying. But it still doesn't matter because it's the past. I know I sound uneducated and maybe that's true but I did get my graduation papers (diploma) I'm now doing online college for Colorado University and majoring in law and business law. But I'm on my break right now because of my sickness. I've never learned so much by walking and talking now rolling to my Gramma. She's a huge influence on me to want to learn about our family and life. I may not be long for this world but I have always been strong not so much now but I push myself to learn as much as possible...

The thing is I know about these things because of my family and schooling. My teachers were amazing and I learned the hows and why's and I asked for help where no-one else ever did. I feel that's what the teacher is there for one of my teachers was a judge and he ran his class accordingly. He was the hardest class I had Mr. Fisher taught social studies and science.

I had some amazing teachers as well. Some really crappy ones too.

I am a middle class person that goes out and witnesses rich people like famous people handing out food and new clothing also water. I help out 3 times a week by handing out blankets, coats, shoes and food in the soup kitchens. There is a lot of doctors and lawyers helping too. So the fleeting few are good people not all rich people are capitalists...

Capitalism is such an inextricable part of the society we live in that it's difficult to see beyond it, and it's in so many wealthy people's interest to propagate the status quo that that most of them will never really consider alternatives because they don't see beyond what they perceive as being in their personal best interest. VERY few wealthy people do a single thing to actually address the root of the issue.

Of course there are wealthy people who do good things for the world or their communities, but the vast majority of people doing this work on the ground are people such as you and me working in their communities.

We need to think of these things on a much larger scale. The master's tools will also never dismantle the master's house.

I've done some art based on it, although I put huge amounts of work into editing most of it. I was using it partially in an effort to learn how to use a digital art program.

There are countless ways to use it creatively, and the genie is out of the bottle. It's impossible to put it back in. It's ultimately no different than any nascent technology. This has happened countless times in history, and it never brought the predicted apocalypse, it only opened new possibilities and paved the way for whole new art forms. Artists are always among the first to test any new technology and to find new and unpredictable uses for it. Ultimately, it's just a tool. It all depends on what one chooses to do with it. As long as one gives credit where it's due and is honest about what you're doing you're not hurting anyone. Artists will never be stopped. There is no illegal art. It's an obligation as an artist to be fearless.

I've always pursued art that was on the edge of technology, I've always found it to be fascinating, and that's something I'll always do. The fact that it's provocative is a good sign that You're onto something as an artist.

My momma works for the artists Union *IATSE* she's seen first hand people getting laid off for computer generated clean up artist's. She worked at Hollywood hands on which had evil people that were adamant on toppling the animation industry. These are the "people" I worry about they want nothing more than to use AI to replace humans. I know for a fact that will never ever happen now thanks to Leilani and Riffraff Cat. My momma has been working in the industry of animation for years she's seen countless numbers of artists come and go. My momma also says the industry is always looking for a way not to have to pay artists, actors, gaffers, lighting, extras, stunt women & men, writers, directors, talent agents, camera operators and line operators. This is what my momma was worried about until she saw that AI just can't match what a human can do. So in all yes it is a tool as long as it's used as one. No one knows it's true implications or potential. It can be used as an evil tool if it's put in the hands of humans that want nothing more than to put more money in the fat cats wallets. There's no way of knowing who wants to use AI for evil purposes. I know for a fact my art is safe from it...

I trust the artists, not the corporations or capitalism itself.

It's up to us to guide where these things go. The people have the power if they take it. The corporations are nothing without us. The strikes in the film industry are a case in point.

Frankly, I'm all about the handmade art, but I'm not afraid of what the digital revolution does either. I particularly learned this through my experience in music. There are clearly both negative and positive effects, particularly when we're in the middle of such a period of flux. It's up to us to decide where these things go and guide them. I just see a lot of panic and lack of understanding of the technology. People owe it to themselves to educate themselves on the subject.

The subject is about AI and that led to us talking about history. I don't need to learn more about history I'd rather learn the now not the has been.
