Had been really struggling to do commissions over the last day, was getting frustrated...then found an infected splinter in my thumb in the shower that had probably not been helping that I had somehow not physically perceived despite being swollen and painful

It doesn't appear to have been very serious, and has been taken care of. Just enough of an impediment that I'm impressed I didn't notice it.

This one didn't get TOO far along, thankfully. I mention it mostly for the antics of somehow not realizing that there might in fact have been a physical reason I was finding it hard to focus on drawing.

Yah. I noticed when I pressed my thumb awkwardly on my mouse and it hurt. Kinda the motivation I needed to cover my work table in a large work mat to cover the plywood and prevent more splinters after a year of just having the work table. ^^;

Fortunately very minor, just felt silly not to notice it.
Splinters of any kind are lifes way of saying fuck you, one way or another. They hurt like a bitch. The place where I work I'll get aluminum splinters yet RARELY will they happen, but they are OUCHIES.

Splinters are no fun. I haven't gotten one in a while but used to a lot as a kid. So annoying to get out without absolutely destroying your skin
