Definitely be careful with Bluesky ! Everything, both text and images, submitted to it is also submitted to a generative AI network called TheHive.ai and can be used for AI training and image generation as per their privacy agreement. There is no way to disable that currently, either, so it can't be opted out of.

Let's be honest, if anyone want your piece put in a generative AI network, they'll save it and upload it themself. Sad thing but true and nothing or no option can stop that (and in the way we're going, nothing will stop the AI to flood things...)
I may be anti-AI art, I'm not going to stop posting on the internet because that's the only way I can work and sustain my life. (And yet I could open a paywall thing BUT I'm nor a found of paywall activities either so we may be stuck here too ahah)

So yep, still gonna give it a try, I can already find my art on way more website that I can know so... (And they didn't waited for the AI to copy my art either, even on FA, even after I complained lmao.)

That is unfortunately very true, which is a genuine shame. It sucks we've hit a point where no matter what people do, everything they make can just be stolen away at any point from a number of directions. I'd never ask you to cut off your means of sustenance and do love seeing you post. Paywall activities are tough, they may technically be a little more secure but they do isolate a lot of possible viewers and ultimately make art less accessible, not particularly fond of them either.

Fair call ^^ Honestly by that point since people have already been skimming, copying, reposting, et cetera, may as well explore another front to reach an audience yourself and at least get some say in what happens there.

Ugh I hear you on people doing it even on here, though. Had one of my own pieces traced by someone who then tried to sell it as an adopt and when I asked for it to be taken down I got met with a "no callouts allowed" warning as opposed to anything being done about it. You have my sympathies and understanding, chief. It's a rough spot artists are in online in general now, and you've clearly already assessed the possibilities and have put good thought into where to post, my apologies for butting in ^^
