so yeah i auditioned for NM All State Winds, I was hoping for the 1st Bassoon part in the Symphony Orchestra, which is the #1 spot throughout the state. I didn't get it, instead I'm #3, second chair 1st bassoon in the Symphonic band. I guess #3 is ok... i got #2 last year... but i guess everybody improved as i did this past year... i'm just a little bummed, maybe i set too high of standards for myself... i really wanted to be #1 ;~; i want to be known as #1 in something, but i dunno... i need a hug :'(
