Find the brush settings and make sure the maximum diameter is set to pen pressure. You can do the same with opacity, or even make it change between one color and another with pressure. Photoshop is just dandy with tablets. Another good tip for a beginner is to go into your tablet properties and turn the sensetivity down a bit, I may have just been a twitchy kid, but until I did that, my lines were all big-small-big when I didnt want them to be.
also, use the layers! that is photoshop's most powerful asset for artists. You can sketch whatever in one layer, then ink some nice lines over on a new layer, then delete the sketch. The layer types are also a really fun thing to mess with, try making a gradient of some colors on a new layer over a pic and set the layer type to overlay or screen, or any of the billion others. It's fun.

Oh! Thank you so much, all of that advice is very helpful! :3 I did play with layers last time I was drawing, and it was kind of confusing, but layers are definitely a great asset (particularly once I get used to them, haha).
