because thought was put into what could make for a good reboot. They saw what worked in Voltron: Legendary Defender and did just that, find a good balance of throwback and great creativity in a new direction. CatDora for the win.

Skeletor was probably more macho than He-man.

Loved that show. I was never a fan of the original (or most of those shows that were made solely to sell toys and nothing more) so I was really hesitant to watch it but me and my bud binge-watched the entire thing back in 2020. So, so good. Plus the character designs were much better and more interesting, Catra and Scorpia being two of my faves.

I was almost going to check it, due to Catra and her sexy feet. However, considering how much of it doesn't resemble so much of where it came from, is what gave me disinterest to check it. That and among other on the reasons on using concepts that worked far better in those IPs, then i think wouldn't work for this reboot. I would've given it a chance, if the show was intended it looked and resemble the original series, new redwings here and there, same characters but kept the spirit of it, like how the 2002 reboot of He-Man did and the ThunderCats 2011 reboot as well. Two of witch are the best of both worlds. Every time i saw the ads for this she-ra, it clearly went into a direction i did not think was gonna honor what it came from.

I would've loved to have explored this show if it honored its past enough for me to appreciate and understand why the original one was beloved by many. Instead, they take the names of the characters, slap them onto characters who barley resemble their original counterparts and do their own thing with it. Same scenario where ya take an established IP, make drastic changes for reasons i will not get into here and this same song dance has annoyed me for the last 5 to 7 years. Hollywood is exactly where it needs to be and they're getting what they deserve.


It may give a cute sexy cat girl like Catra. But to me, there should be a little more then just her. But that's just me folks. Hey, i'm just voicing my say on this. But if you like this take on she-ra, that's cool. I might check it in the future because of Catra. But regardless still stand by what said.

Yeah, it's been for a while now. It ran for 5 seasons from November 13, 2018 to May 15, 2020. About three years ago it ended.

Seems to me that there should always be room for infinite versions of a particular story or IP.

As long as someone has a good vision and can pull it off, of course.

Personally, between you and me... filmation was rock-solid and i loved the shows. Id say the more successful thing they did was Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids because it was really great for kids.
