Ask yourself this... is it worth joining yet another corporate owned social media platform just because it's trendy? Because that too will one day fall off when one dumb CEO person doesn't get their way.

In by far and large Mastodon seems more like a palatable approach in terms of social media platforms that isn't a corporate owned platform, but as a free and open-source platform owned by the people who run them. Everything is integrated as what we call it the Fediverse, what this basically is someone can run a node instance of Mastodon, name it whatever and such doesn't have to be called Mastodon specifically, the base code of the platform is called Mastodon, and they use what's called ActivityPub, meaning if you're on one server node instance, it can also share and communicate with another creating a central network of sorts, but they're all independently owned and you can choose which ones you communicate with, there's no fancy algorithms or thing shoved in your face when it comes to sharing and communicating, and you curate what you see, you are your own algorithm when you properly tag your posts with hashtags related to specific topics and such, a built-in Content Warning filter moderation, the ability to add Alt-Text to images so you can describe things with Screen Readers for the visually impaired.

Hearing all of this might sound complicated or confusing, but it couldn't be farther from the truth, in fact it's rather super easy, barely an inconvenience, join and instance of your choice, lookup who to follow, and/or import across possible followers/followings and such from Twitter... err X by scanning your Follower/Following lists (that is if Twitter/X hasn't broken the API that lets you authorise third-party apps). As far as 'Bluesky Code' goes; can't really help with that. There are a bunch of artists on Mastodon. I'm using meow.social but there are other fat-fur artists using wobbl.xyz or blimps.xyz. After following 100 other people, my timeline looks a lot like Twitter in terms of seeing new art popping up.

Has been fantastic watching the growth. ^^ I know lots of folks will end up elsewhere ultimately, but it's been incredible seeing it grow so big so fast!

short answer, no.

see, I actually wanted to use Gumroad (and possibly booth), but I dont due to not having a way to securely verify purchases. (meaning that I dont have a way to keep track of what users should have access to the models if they get it through Gumroad.) I did look into Gumroad's API long ago and figured out how to use the key system BUT I didnt have a way to tie that into my backend systems. (also problem with booth is they dont have an API like Gumroad's so thats no dice there)

Pity there's no system like in Second Life, where if you buy something, you can make it copyable, modifiable for the person who bought it to toy with it as they please, but disable the "Transfer" so they don't give copies or the item itself to anyone so it's purely stuck with the original buyer only, that system existed... since 2002? and it worked really well~

Maybe that's what VRchat devs are trying to aim for as well (beside having market share lol) when they announced In-game store, but maybe I'm thinking too deep into it lol
