I was nearly an abortion case................ and lemme tell you guys right upfront, i hate abortions, and im really sad when they have to happen.....................
buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut
i also hate the very idea that our own fucking government can force women to have kids no matter what. Uh-uh.... that is WRONG. What a woman wants to do to her body is up to the woman, not to anyone else. Period. End of story. full stop, as Lani would say....
i will just add "fuck that shit all up in there". :D so last night, Ohio voted to reject the idea of amending our state's constitution to make it harder to get things passed... i have an email brochure i got that explains it better:
Ohio voters decisively rejected Issue 1, yesterday's sole ballot item that sought to make it tougher to amend the state constitution.
Why it matters: The results are a victory for abortion rights advocates ahead of a constitutional amendment on November's ballot that proposes to guarantee abortion access up until fetal viability.
Details: Issue 1 would've raised the passage threshold for future constitutional amendments from a simple majority to a 60% supermajority, along with stricter signature requirements to get amendments on the ballot.
State of play: Abortion and voting rights groups, labor unions and major newspapers' editorial boards made up the "no" bloc, contending Issue 1 would have taken away a democratic right Ohioans have had since 1912.
A bipartisan coalition of former state leaders condemned the major vote taking place in August, characteristically a low-turnout month.
What they're saying: "For the entirety of this year, politicians supporting Issue 1 ignored the will of the people in the legislative process, flip-flopped on their ruling not to hold August special elections, costing tax-payers millions of dollars, and spread misinformation and lies from start to finish," Ohio AFL-CIO Tim Burga said in a statement.
"In the end, voters would not be fooled by this unprecedented, corrupt attempt to silence our voice and we said emphatically, NO."
The other side: Republicans publicly and privately acknowledged Tuesday's election was meant to preempt November's abortion vote.
so yeah... theres one battle won but the war is gonna come in November 2024...........................................
man, wish
abd would let us bunk in Mexico with them a while. I fucking hate America....just too much stupidity here now and all the stupid people wanna do is breed and re-educate more stupid people.

FA+

My favorite bit there was how ironic and hypocritical the advertising about that was pushing that it was a defense against out of state money influencing Ohio legislation when the biggest supporter of that legislation were wealthy right wingers Dick and Liz Uihlein from Iiiinois.
SO WHAT DID THEY DO?
held the fucking election in August.... and lost anyway.
I got the full tally from Ohio State University...
98 FUCKING percent voted no.
The GenZ crowd is gonna waste the Republican Party like Sonny Corleone in the Godfather.
But a dying animal can be quite dangerous. They can lash out in their desperation. These desperate moves are what we're seeing now, all over the country.
Cheese Man dropped a memo.
and this proves Trump knew he lost and faked it anyway.
Fucking dirtbag Commie.
it is what it is. :D
And if you think that Russia or Putin have a single thing to do with communism, you're sadly mistaken. It's all pure capitalism and fascism these days.
Russia or the USSR have had nothing to do with communism for over a century.
hate to burst your bubble there, chum. :D
Explain one thing communist about Russia or Putin, if you think you can. You won't be able to. Their system now is capitalist, as well as authoritarian/totalitarian/fascist, which is the polar opposite of communist.
Absolutely nothing communist about that, though.
yeah, cant flip that one back, junior.
and yeah, its creepeh. @.@
yep thats how they say it in the south counties.
