i dunno how i feel about that..........................
i kinda liked the guy before he went bat-shit nuts and started in on the homophobia and racism crap.
But WWF was a saturday afternoon staple for us back in the 80s. :D
ah well, how the mighty fall

Some friends of mine and I had a lot of fun with the wrestling thing when it was at it's most loony, ironic, and cartoonish back around then. There were some great characters there for a while.
Shortstacks rule, though.
Personally, I haven't watched any wrestling since the eighties when it was at it's height of goofiness.
And congratulations upon the successful completion of yet another transit around our sun!
yeah it was all for show and staged but you gotta admit, NO ONE saw it coming when hulk turned "evil" :D
It even inspired a friend and bandmate of mine and I to invent an art/music entity called the "Art Wrestling Federation Universal League" (A.W.F.U.L.), which later evolved into another entity, "Artยฎ๏ธ".
=P
...as well as my mother sharing a HOME TOWN with him.
I consider Augusta, Georgia my second hometown.
Super cringe, but at least it SEEMED to show a sense of humor.
Sadly, that is drowned out by most of the imagery, and would be completely missed by many folks here in the US.
one of the musicians is 14, fun fact. :D
I saw a version of Iron Butterfly led by their drummer that included a couple of young kids on bass and guitar at a tiny local club back in the eighties. They completely tore it up.
There were probably forty people in the audience. An amazing show. Much better than I could even have hoped or expected it could be.
I also found the date of the show. It was at the Sleeping Lady Cafe, in Fairfax, Ca. on July 24th, 1984.
Happy Birthday! :D
... and I went by Hogan before I knew of the Hulkster... just saying :p
