Waagttail
So, I've been talking with a lot of people, not just on this site, but a lot of folks offsite, including former furries and public opinion, and a lot of people seem to be around the same page, which is why I'm mentioning this:
I came up with a nifty nickname for those who prefer the simpler, fun-focused ways of the earlier fandom around 15 years ago and prior, who just wanted to come here and do their thing without all the outside influence, depression, politics, identities, CONSTANT drama, pandering, and whatnot. For those who just wanted to go back to focusing on creative fun and making friends instead of acting like children, I've been calling them "waagttails," which is short for writing, art, and good things that are in life.
A lot of folks who've been fitting into that category have their own feelings toward the fandom, which I will not mention here for the sake of preventing unneccesary attacks against people (and because counter-narrative stuff tends to be frowned upon in the fandom nowadays). Many also straight up refuse to associate with the fandom because of these stupid issues and emotional pandering from them.
So, if you happen to stop by, whether you've talked to me or not, and you don't like what's become of the fandom and wish to return to the simple things from back in its hayday, feel free to call yourself a waagttail furry, or just a waagttail. It's catchier than the poison sumac root I pulled out a couple days ago, lol, though it's more of an attitude than a "movement."
Plus, as many feel like the fandom is dead or still collapsing, if modern culture is anything to go off of, this isn't anything new. People have had enough and just want to return to the original fun and hobbies they had before, letting the younger generations bear witness to it so they know how to enjoy life instead of constantly being depressed and fighting someone or something.
For those who just want to be happy... WAAG your TTAIL ! lmao
