I am sooooooo sad! He was basically my childhood! But the guy isn't getting younger so I guess now is a good time for him to step back and let someone else take the mantle.

It's the end of a legacy, but at least he's not going anywhere. The man is a wholesome legend to all of us and that will never change.

Last I heard, he said he'd voice Mario as long as he physically could. I guess he felt age was starting to affect his performance sooner than he thought.
