A private jet has just crashed in Russia.
Yevgeny Prigozhin is on the passenger manifest.
Strange coincidence, that.
Blinken is quoted as having said "Nato has an 'Open door policy'. Russia has an open windows policy."
I'll grant that the dude DOES have a sense of humor.
Zelensky was quoted as saying something along the lines of "We asked for help with aircraft. This was not quite what we had in mind". -Of course his first business was comedy, though.
Update: https://www.backgroundbriefing.org/.....ugust-23-2023/ -About the first twenty minutes.

I don't see this boding well for his chances in Ukraine.
News to me.
Or could this be a diversion tactic by Wagner to trick Putin into believing Prigozhin is dead?
For better or worse, he's still with us.
Intresting times
Seriously though, if it's Wagner that's been behind the bulk of monstrous war crimes (and I'm just making an uneducated guess about that)... I don't actually want to see that happen to Russia—but I don't want to see it happen to Ukraine either.
Also: Predictable definitely-not-assassination of another powerful ethically bankrupt cohort, in this case the head of what is arguably Russia's only effective fighting force; Putin remains a master tactician.
And while we don't have absolute proof yet, and it's POSSIBLE that there are some shenanigans going on behind the scenes, (I've heard a number of possibilities at this point) I still think that the obvious outcome is the one most likely. The simplest explanation is almost always the correct one, after all. It's basic logic.
Thanks for the compliment, and I enjoy my conversations with you as well. You come across as a smart person.
You've also picked a pretty good group of friends, and I think we've all got your back.
