Out of all the centers I've traveled to, this one has got to be THE hardest one to handle I s2g. I keep wanting to come back to my hotel and get some art done while I've got the spare time but I am so mentally fatigued by the time I get off work I wind up just going to sleep. My job isn't even that physically taxing, but mentally??? This center is FUCKED up lmfao and I'm constantly having to balance my time between helping the department with the daily review tasks and dealing with the chaos that was left by their former manager. In combination with that, the nurses here do NOT take direction well and continuously push back because they didn't have very good oversight from their former supervisor or the previous quality department staff, so trying to correct the errors they're making and guide them onto the correct process is like pulling teeth!! The last two days I've worked I've nearly broken down in tears in my office from frustration and being overwhelmed. I've been to SO many other centers in the last year and by far I hate this one the most. I cant' wait to go back home lmao
Anywho, all this to say my hope for making decent progress on art while I'm traveling isn't as high as it was before thanks to me being essentially catatonic by the time I get off my shift. I'm hoping it eases up in the next week but odds are very slim. On top of the existing chaos, a department coworker suddenly had a family member pass right after their manager was fired, so the workload isn't as split as before and they wont be back until Wednesday, which will be my next day off.
Oh, other fun news that happened to me while I've been here. Yesterday on my day off I ran some errands to get some more food, and while I was out I got a call from my boss saying that she got a call from corporate saying that the hotel called them claiming my room had been emptied and my dog was all that was left inside lmfao! When I tell ya'll I drove home in a HURRY to make sure my dog was ok and that my stuff was still there ;w; Thankfully, everything was good. Just a miscommunication between the cleaning staff and front desk. But good lord it gave me a panic!!!!
I am so tired. This travel trip has been excruciating.

Sunday wasn't so bad, but a donor's car caught fire outside so that was fun to deal with lmao. It was a very small fire somewhere in the mechanics under the hood and we got it put out without any issue, but it just added to the eventful last few days =w=;;
I am really eager to get back home, especially bc once this work trip is over, I get to drive back to my hometown for my highschool reunion and I'm genuinely excited to go and potentially see some of my old highschool friends again.
