Spend all weekend working extra hours to get a project done early. Lack of sleep and soreness all just so I can have one day off ahead of what feels like an important game session for my players. So I can prep and be ready to give them an immersive TTRPG experience. Spend the day prepping and rehearsing things and then a player says they can't make it. For a valid reason that I can't fault them for. Just seems like every time I try to be efficient and get ahead of the game in anything the universe just says no. And the worst part is they will never realize what I went through to try to make the bimonthly session over the top.
