8/30/2023 - Going “Full Hog” With Fat Furry Art!

Hello again everyone, it’s been a little while - longer than I would’ve liked, but, I am happy to be back. So… where’ve I been, you may ask? Well, I’ll try to keep it brief, but for starters…
Booknut - Now a Full-Time Furry Artist
It’s been a long and crazy road getting to this point, but I have finally reached the financial point where I’m comfortable taking the leap into true full-time work. It was difficult managing to shift my life around for this properly, but going forward, my art is my main business, with this account being one of the largest parts of that.
The past few months have been filled with delightful and often very large commissions (in more ways than one, haha~), as well as a lot of other fun art and small projects.
I am hoping to have a more regular stream of content posted here, and I have several big pieces that are ready to post! Speaking of which…
On Posting
I’ve tried a few different methods of posting and scheduling posts ahead, and my previous strategies have worked nowhere well as what I used to do, which was to simply post when I wanted to, without a worry of posting ahead.
And, in addition to this, I had a major hiccup with the scheduling which I will discuss a little later on. The main takeaway though is that posting is back in full force, and you can expect a few new commissions and other goodies after this!
Now, onto the biggest thing to come up lately…
An Ode to my Laptop
Recently, my laptop shorted itself completely, frying the motherboard and making it unusable. Now, while it is certainly unpleasant whenever a computer dies, there are a few saving graces with the way it went - firstly, I have a backup computer which, while old, is serving my purposes well. Secondly, nothing crucial was lost file wise, as I stored most art and important files elsewhere.
However, my previous scheduled posting has been affected severely by this - the system I was relying on, Postybirb+, had many scheduled posts and prepped descriptions sitting on it, and it looks like those may be lost. Some other files have been recovered from the spare drive, but I will be unable to use them until I find a new computer or other solution.
The big takeaway I’ve gotten from this though, seeing as my overplanning set me back a little in the posting department, is to calm down and simply post.
So, in terms of scheduled posts, the only thing I have planned right now is to post Heftoons weekdays, which will be starting back up today, ideally. Other than that, I’d like to simply post as much as I can, when I can.
An update on Commissions
I’ve had several large and engaging projects taking up a good bit of time lately, and I’m trying my best to get through and get them out, and I am very excited to share some of the fun, fatty concepts I’ve been given the chance to work on lately!
Commissions will be opening more regularly from now on, and some form of slot or YCH should always be open going forward.
I would also like to give a tremendous thank you to all the commissioners I’ve had the pleasure of working with over the years, and give a special thank you to the ones who’ve worked with me these past few months. Your patience has been priceless, and between that and your patronage, I’ve finally been able to achieve the independent artist’s life I’ve wanted for so long.
A Final Note
Whether you’ve commissioned me in the past or not, I wanted to give a huge thank you to all of my audience. Your encouragement and enjoyment of my work has been a continuous source of joy and happiness in my life, and I would not be the man I am today without this account.
