How to enjoy strong whiskey if you're a lightweight

Sleep like a baby after one glass! (for best results, drink at home)
As a lightweight myself, I don't shy away from barrel-proof whiskies much, and going through the bottles I have I noticed that I unintentionally accumulated many with a higher ABV as they had a good flavor (I still think Larceny BP is a better buy than Van Winkle) ...but I can still sleep within minutes of having a single glencairn of my more potent stuff. lol
Just something funny that I thought of. I'm not a professional connoisseur, just a guy who tries things so I can give opinions and recommendations to people.
Same logic applies to wine, since dry wine can be flavorful but on the stronger side for a lot of people.
I also recommend argon for single people who can't drink much wine either, and don't shy away from screw-top bottles or under $20 bottles.
