So my dad decided to be generous and for an early birthday gift give me a new phone and computer so I can do art again. I'd like to open up for commissions very soon since I need the money desperately. My brother has told me if I can't pay more in rent soon I get moved from my room to the 'office' it's an off room from the living room with no doors or curtains that is next to the kitchen so there's no privacy and people walking by can see whatever you do. As someone who talks to themselves a lot this is awful. Also it means: why did I even bother unpacking most of my room on his insistence if it means I have to pack everything all over again.
I've been looking for a new job but I'm me so every time I apply I get crickets or told no... hahahahahahaha
Anyway please give me like a week or 2 because I am much rusty and have forgotten a fair bit. Also... I have to work out pricing because... I haven't really ever gotten commission or people liking my work when it was just the sfw. I've only ever gotten like 3 commission ever all from friends at like nothing levels of low.

That's really awesome of your dad! Sucks a lot your brother is doing that to you. I'd love to hit you up once you get the pricing sorted and see how many paychecks it would take to commission you. Hope you can make it through this rough patch and grab a day job too for the extra security. :(
Yeah, like I get why he wants to do it. I acknowledge the very real fact my rent is basically free in terms of the actual house finances and my room would be better spent on someone who can actually contribute to the house (I'm not even making enough to actually cover even that though and he knows it and I know it.) I'm just glad we didn't get a government shut down because even if my current job pays jack not getting my paychecks for however long would have been terrifying. Right now, I'm just pretending I understand how price marketing works as I stare at spread sheets because if my other art friends find out I'm doing full body shaded character commissions for $40ish again they'll kill me hahahaha (it's with kindness, I swear).
