It's Tuesday, and back in the ancient past of the internet that was the day randomly assigned for folks to ask you random questions that sprang to their mind. Sooooo hecc it, ask me anything. :D
FA+

Uhhhhh, okay, this is by no means a definitive top 5, but rather the top 5 as I can think of them right now. I'm sure there are some I adore that I'm forgetting, but I don't want to spend literally hours on this question which I could if I wanted to do a more complete personal ranking. XDD
5. My OC Cara. I adore that shameless mousterbator and I'm very grateful that you give me so many opportunities to include her in stories. :3
4. Renee (pink Rhino lady from AC:NH, not to be confused with Reneigh, the horse lady). She was my first villager on my original ACNH island (Carrot Bay), and was there right up until I did my reset and re-started on Bunny Bay. I always like the sisterly (uchi) archetype villagers, but Renee was my paradise island waifu without a doubt. :D
3. The Mane Six. Look, I know that's six waifus, but they're in a polycule in my head SO... :P If I have to pick one... uhh... Applejack? Pinkie Pie?? THEY'RE ALL SO SWEET AND LOVELY DON'T MAKE ME CHOOOOSE.
2. Judy Hopps. This bnuny made me change my fursona with her optimism, and even if I enjoy AU/fanfic of her more than the canon these days, she's still a very special bunny. :3
1. Della Duck. Yup, she's actually knocked Judy off the number one spot in my head. I just... gah, I adore her! What a character, what a mom, what a lady! <3
5. Marscapone. Not a specific brand or type, just in general. I know its used in a lot of delicious sweet dishes but I also adore putting it in a baked zitti I make (a really luxuriously cheesy, meat ragu based pasta bake) for extra creaminess.
4. Ubriaco rosso. A red wine soaked cheese I've gotten a couple of times from the Borough Market in London. Sharp, fruity, delicious.
3. The Damn Fine Cheese Company's black pepper cheddar. I loooove black pepper, and this company balances just the right amount of it in their cheddar. <3
2. Snowdonia Cheese Company's Black Bomber. The cheddar cheese that let me know how good cheddar cheese can be. I know I'm kinda boring for just putting two cheddars in my top three, but seriously that's the majority of cheese I eat, and there's a good reason for that. :D
1. "Supernatural cheese". One time a long looong time ago, me and a friend (my partner at the time actually, still a current friend now) went to a pub/restaurant in Edinburgh and had cheeseburgers. The burgers were good, but the cheese?!? We never actually asked what kind of cheese it was, and to this day I can only guess that it was something sharp/mature cheddar-like, but perhaps not actually cheddar because of how over the top the flavour was, but hooooly crap, it was out of this world haha. So, that one memory of what we have always called "supernatural cheese" since then is my number 1 cheese. :3
Coming in at a close second right now, like, right this moment, is the anime Girls Last Tour, which I finished watching last night. For an anime about the apocalypse and facing the end of all life on earth, it's incredibly wholesome, chill and relaxing, and both the opening and closing themes are bops.
For example, in my Mad Mage campaign (and I'll be vague about the details in case you're a player, rather than a DM) a particular "level boss" enemy managed to kill one player character and was pretty close to TPKing the entire party in the wake of her death (the party's main "tank" character). So, as she died, the character called out to anyone who was listening, any power, who could bring her back and give her the strength to save her friends.
And, I had someone answer. Not the character's chosen deity. Not even some devil or demon offering a pact/bargain, but, because this character's last name (and her moral code) was "Truthspeaker", I had her be brought back by Cyric, god of lies, who now lives inside her head. She got to immediately wake up with 50hp back, and her return turned the tide and allowed the rest of the party (not counting a shield guardian that got destroyed) to survive. I pulled no punches, the character DID die, but her story didn't end there. Instead she now has an evil god living inside her head plotting his escape from the prison he's been trapped in since trying to murder Mystra, and her soul is pledged to him so when she dies, she goes to 'his' afterlife rather than that of the deity she actually worships (so, essentially, she goes to hell when she dies again, unless she and the party can figure a way to break Cyric's hold on her).
So yeah! If your party doesn't like the traps, change them. The game is there to be fun, and the whole benefit of D&D as an interactive RPG is that you aren't limited to following the story, even in the published campaign, like you are for a video game or visual novel or anything pre-scripted like that. And if they do like the traps but don't want the consequence of failure to be a total roadblock to progress, use the lore of the world and the rules of the game to find ways to bring characters back, not consequence free, but in a way that pushes the story forward.
And if you're a player and non of that advice is relevant as it's all from the DM side of things, talk to your DM. Hopefully they'll be willing to listen and consider making some changes or introducing some new opportunities. And if they're not, perhaps the issue isn't so much the traps as the style of gameplay the DM is enforcing. In all collaborative games, but especially ttrpgs, communication and understanding between all parties at the table is vital. <3
But for other people, I think it depends on a variety of factors including equipment. Generally speaking I think someone with a penis can orgasm fewer times before being overwhelmed just because of the way the nerves in that part of the body work. But, I'm sure there are exceptions (and of course people who enjoy over-stimulation related fun) so honestly I don't know what the upper limit is. That's why I always enjoy writing stories that include time skips implying extreme, obscene numbers/lengths of orgasms. It's fun to imagine those boundaries not existing. :3
So yeah, I'm not 'grey-ace' or anything where I can feel a physical attraction and enjoy physical intimate contact with others after developing an emotional bond. I'm just flat out uninterested in and made uncomfortable by the whole concept of sexually physical intimacy and attraction in any 'real-world' context.
Where fantasy/non-real-world type stuff is concerned? I can find a drawn image or a story appealing, an explicit animation enjoyable so long as it's featuring non-human anthros/non-photorealistic animation (and if it contains voice acting, it's much harder for me to enjoy). Weirdly I think furry stuff played a role in me not figuring out I was ace for as long as it took me, because it gave me a space where I could and do find things appealing on a regular basis. But if a fantastic creator whose work I love does a piece featuring drawn or textually described humans with no anthros/aliens/utterly fictional entities in it, especially if it's meant to represent humans existing in the 'real world' as opposed to some entirely fictional realm, even the fact it's drawn/written doesn't stop my enjoyment level from dropping sharply, though with it being drawn/written/etc it doesn't quite provoke the same discomfort as if I saw a photo, video or read a description of a sex act that was meant to be an account of an actual occurrence between real people.
And needless to say, my own writing doesn't make me uncomfortable, though I really don't enjoy writing about solely human characters in an erotic/explicit context if there's no anthro/otherwise less realistic characters involved. So long as whatever entities involved are all fully consenting adults, be they anthro animals, aliens, sentient robots, etc, it's all far more pleasant to me than anything remotely "real".
For me, I land in the 'aegosexual' space, I think. Long-story short, as far as I can tell, it's a micro-label made distinct by:
-Mostly ace, but can find some appeal in fictional/'unrealistic' settings
-Seeing it in third person rather than inserting yourself in it
-Still not being attracted to IRL stuff, nor wanting sex, but finding a connection in fiction/fantasy/impossible things
Maybe look into that for you, if you want it? Just throwing it out there.
But nice to know where other people fall on this, so thanks for sharing your experiences.
1. What is your favorite word?
2. What is your least favorite word?
3. What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally?
4. What turns you off creatively, spiritually or emotionally?
5. What sound or noise do you love?
6. What sound or noise do you hate?
7. What is your favorite curse word?
8. What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?
9. What profession would you not like to do?
10. If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?
2. I always found 'belch' to be rather unpleasant, haha.
3. Playing D&D with my friends, reading, watching anime while biking, my Animal Crossing island, taking walks while listening to podcasts, musical theatre.
4. Social media, capitalism, people who casually yet deeply insult things I enjoy just because they don't personally like them.
5. Nature sounds. Birdsong, lapping waves, rustling trees, all that hippy garbage lmao. <3
6. Any sudden, loud, sharp noise.
7. Fuck! It's great because it works just as well in positive contexts (fuck yeah!) as it does in negative ones (fuck no!)
8. Tangentially similar because it does involve writing of a sort, but I think I'd make a great restaurant reviewer for a journalistic publication. If I can't pick anything related to writing though? A museum archivist, or a deep sea ecologist (perhaps relating to echinoderms, corals or sponges). :)
9. Anything customer service related. Working in a call-centre would probably be my idea of hell just because it involves so many of my least favourite things.
10. "We apologise for the inconvenience."
If CYOA does mean something different specifically in the context of Cyberpunk/Mechwarrior though, please let me know and I'll answer the question again correctly, haha.
For some examples… cyberpunk: https://imgur.io/a/aiIFO
And two for mechwarrior (future of the 80’s): https://imgur.io/gallery/M41mI or https://drive.google.com/file/d/1gs.....VJDSEhbHc/view
So? Chicks dig giant robots? :)
The sci-fi type stuff I tend to enjoy is lighter, more optimistic sci-fi. Fiction that envisions a more peaceful future of exploration and co-operation, i.e. Star Trek aside from its more grimdark moments, haha. What I suppose you could call escapist fiction.
Mechwarrior is a lot more grey, in that mankind is divided. Among 2 million stars and over 2 thousand inhabited planets.
But with the “Great Houses” fighting for the throne of the star league.
A place with danger, but power and wealth up for grabs. aka No Guts, No Galaxy!
