Hunter Rank Up/Update
General
Today is my birthday, and that means my hunter rank/master rank has gone up to 26!
Cake for everybody!
I wish everybody here a happy and safe day.
As some of you know through socials, I've been very, very distant over the last four days. My great grandma, whom I had been living with for a while and who had recently gone into a senior home, recently went to her deathbed. She has been in quickening decline these last few days, and Saturday I said my final goodbyes.
I will mourn, and continue to mourn for a long time. But after help from friends and self-reflection, what memories I've had with her have been nothing but pleasant.
She first introduced me to the PlayStation, and one of the very first games I ever saw was the original Rayman. Still was never able to beat it, way too hard for me. Haha
That tangent aside, she did a lot for me and my dad through my entire life, and through his own entire life, cause my dad's parents were nothing but soulless to him. And even as they're visiting with great-grandma for the final time, it brings sickness to my stomach.
But I know my great-grandma has a place reserved in Heaven, and God (in whatever form He appears in) will look after her. Of that I'm certain.
Today is a day to celebrate. I hope you all have a fantastic day! I have to get up and get ready for work though! See y'all 'round the bends!

Now for something a little more sad... Content warning.

I never knew any of my great-grandparents; the only one still alive by the time I was born was my Nan's Mum, and she died when I was less than a year old. But my Gran'ma- my Dad's Mum- and I were very close; she lived in the same house we did on the first floor, and lived to be just past 94 years old and passed without pain in her old age. I was in my late 20's when she died, and she even got to know I'd finished high school, gotten into my dream college at Sheridan and earned my Classical Animation 3-year diploma a couple of years before she passed away.
I doubt I need to say this as I am sure you were at least as close to your Great-Nan as I was with my grandmother, but treasure those memories, take hold of the emotional inertia you shared and put it inside of you, and keep that songline going. She's enjoying a piece of her favourite cake at a Heavenly Bakery today and thinking of her great-grandcub on their birthday, I'm sure of it.
So Happy Borneday, good chummer, and have yourself a wonderful day today!

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. My great grandma is 94 years old, and she saw me able to buy my own house, and I couldn't have done it without her help.
I will never forget her. ❤️
You never forget someone who's that intimately a part of you, nor does their love between you fade; even Death can't sever that, it just means it'll be a while until you see them again in person. And you will, as much as I can promise you that without being a guarantee, because your Great-Nan wants to see you again someday, and she'll ask for you when it's time.

Thank you.
Big hugs!
I hope you're having a wonderful birthday today, and I wish you the very best of good cheer, hearty health and a good and novel reckoning around the sun with us all until next time your borneday comes 'round again. <3

But I can assure you that she's happy for how dearly you hold your precious memories with her inside your heart. She will live just a little bit longer through your dad and yourself. 💜
On that note, I still wish you a Happy Birthday! :3
Thank you very much!
