Decided that I needed some time away, so I jumped in the truck and trekked my ferrety rear up to Springfield, Missouri for a long weekend! Got in yesterday to a friend's place, got settled in, and is my nature, combined jabbering away with some drinks!
We did check out a couple of thrift stores before that, and found a couple of lovely things, so all in all, a good start to the visit!

If you want lunch or dinner I highly recommend Black Sheep, some of the best burgers we ever had. Spend the extra for the grass fed, it is very much worth it. If 1984 is still there, it's fun old school arcade.
Oh, and the museum of art clearly has furries visiting it. There are sections with post-it-notes, some that mention e621 XD
Wasn't planning on the art museum, but now I am!
Thanks for the recommendation for the restaurant, I'd asked my host about it, but she'd not been.
And 1984 is still here, I'm pleased to say and it's absolutely on the docket for tomorrow.
Oh, and if you do go to Black Sheep, get the fry sampler with the chipotle bbq sauce. Serious good. And on a burger too.
I don't miss living in MO, but I will miss some of the great places to eat there.

I feel much the same about Oklahoma, where I'm actually from, and I still live there, so I get that feeling totally
